Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are the requirements if I want to chaperone a field trip or overnight event?

          • Complete the FJUHSD Volunteer Assistance Request form: Chaperone form
          • After being contacted by the Educational Center Human Resources, make an appointment to get your fingerprints taken

  • What are the costs for my child to participate in the program?
          • There are minimal costs associated with participating in the NJROTC program.  At the beginning of the school year, we request each cadet and their family to make a donation to the program to offset start-up costs.
          • If your cadet loses part or all of their uniform, they will be assessed a fee. Uniform shirts, pants, belts or shoes can be replaced at Supply as your cadet outgrows them.
          • Field trips may require a small fee to help offset the cost of the bus
          • Competition trips that require an overnight stay or more will have a fee. The Booster Club works to decrease the costs for each cadet through fundraisers
